Our work utilizes some of the latest and broadest thinking on green building, defined as increasing the efficiency with which homes use resources (materials, energy and water) while reducing the impact on human health and the environment.
Since 2003, we have been conducting original research on green homebuilding, focusing on two topics: "systems building" of homes and current Japanese homebuilding practices, which generally include green features. We use the LEED for Homes system, promulgated by the United States Green Building Council. We are pleased that Evertson Hill, our most recent project, is our greenest to date.
